Why I am Running for Lexington Village Council?

I’ve spent much of my life serving people—whether as a pastor, community advocate, or advisor. My heart has always been to listen first, act wisely, and build bridges where division exists. Now, I’m stepping forward to serve Lexington as a member of City Council because I believe our community deserves a strong voice that truly represents the people.

I’m running because I want to see Lexington grow—not just in size, but in opportunity. Our families deserve safe neighborhoods, our young people deserve pathways to success, and our businesses deserve a community that supports innovation and hard work. I’ve seen what happens when people feel left out of decisions that affect their daily lives, and I don’t want that for us.

This isn’t about politics for me—it’s about people. It’s about making sure our tax dollars are used wisely, our resources are accessible, and our local government is transparent and accountable. It’s about ensuring Lexington remains a place where families want to stay, children want to return, and new residents feel welcome.

I’m running because I believe it does take all of us—it takes our voices, our ideas, and our willingness to work together. My promise is simple: I’ll show up, I’ll listen, and I’ll fight for what strengthens our community.
