Robert H. Kelley III - BIO
Robert H. Kelley, III is a proven leader, bridge-builder, and servant of the people with more than 30 years of experience in business, international development, and ministry. His life’s work has centered on one principle: bringing people together to create opportunities, solve problems, and build stronger communities. Robert has an impeccable track record in building linkages for U.S. voters residing overseas, providing mechanisms for enhancing their abilities to participate in the U.S. electoral processes.
Robert has connected African and American enterprises, building partnerships that span industries from media and real estate to finance and energy. Earlier in his career, he served as a U.S. Treasury Department bank regulator, managing multi-million-dollar partnerships that expanded access to capital and strengthened financial institutions across Africa. His leadership helped channel millions of dollars into community-based banks and credit institutions, strengthening local economies and increasing access to opportunity. He also spearheaded high-impact development projects that supported small businesses and job creation in Mozambique and Tanzania.
Robert has always believed real leadership is about empowerment. He has mentored women entrepreneurs, championed rural farming initiatives, and worked side by side with local communities to expand opportunity. His commitment to service has placed him on more than 15 boards worldwide, including World Vision South Africa and the African Presidential Leadership Center.
In ministry, Robert has facilitated the planning and mentoring of dozens of churches that span across parts of Africa and the USA. He has also served as Executive Bishop of Crestmont International where his leadership forged partnerships with church leaders across 13 African countries to launch education, business, and poverty-alleviation programs. In 2012, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop, a recognition of his dedication to servant leadership. He has also served as the CEO of a U.S. funded enterprise development fund, spanning across the 13 countries of the Southern Africa Development Community.
Robert holds a degree in Economics from American University, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, and formal theological training from several U.S. institutions. His unique blend of financial expertise, pastoral care, and community vision makes him a leader who not only knows how to get things done, but how to bring people together in the process.
Robert is married to Dr. Danielle Kelley, an accomplished educator and school leader. Together, they are raising a blended family of five children and cherishing their growing legacy of faith, family, and service.
Now, Robert is ready to bring that same heart for service and experience in leadership back home—to ensure every voice in his community has a seat at the table, and that progress is built on unity, opportunity, and shared success.
